The Republican Study Committee has released an initial plan to cut spending; a somewhat vague outline with a focus on creating a spending cap. But one program they were specific about cutting is the Legal Services Corporation, a "federal organization that provides civil legal assistance to people who make up to 125 percent of the federal poverty line" that provides, among other services: "assistance filing for help in domestic abuse cases and resolving custody issues...in foreclosure or eviction disputes [and] filing for bankruptcy."
